The barons of Gemmingen originally had their headquarters in Kraichgau in Baden-Württemberg. The ancestral line can be traced back to 1165. The then manor house Unterbessenbach was acquired by Gustav Freiherr von Gemmingen in 1841. The further development of the picturesque area began with the construction of Unterbessenbach Castle at this time. Domestic agriculture and forestry in the Unterbessenbach manor still play an important role today. However, structural change over the past 40 years has meant that many old barns that used to be used for livestock farming suddenly became empty. The conversion of the old barns and further development into a modern event location has been carried out by the family for a number of years with special passion and a lot of personal commitment. They renovated the historical buildings with great effort and love so that the historical charm was preserved. The owners themselves take care of the park with its colorful flowers.
